Extracting Us: Co-curating Creative Responses to Extractivism Through a Feminist Political Ecology Praxis

Abstract In this chapter, members of the Extracting Us Curatorial Collective reflect on process, experiences and learnings co-curating a series exhibitions events. We identify ourselves as situated researchers, activists creatives. Engaging with feminist political ecology both theory practice, we revisit how cultivated care, foregrounding community weaving connections between extractive contexts. Our collective inquiry, made possible through paying attention to emotional embodied brings everyday into scholar-activist exhibition spaces, has allowed us present explore different perspectives multitude critical registers which extractivism, resistance solidarity are understood.
